The 1600’s were a milestone in U.S. History. During this time Colonies were being found, freedom to express religious rights were being exercised to the fullest extent, multiple wars were fought, and to top it all off, slavery was starting to show itself due to hatred between different ethnic groups. This may sound like a lot of evil activity but even in the darkest shadows, you can find some source of light. For example the first thanksgiving, the weeding of Pocahontas and John Rolfe, and the peacefulness of the colonists and the Indians living in harmony for a short period of time. The relationship between the European colonist and the American Indians had its ups and downs due to the Europeans, but it is a relationship that has to be chartered as astonishing yet brutal to the core! The liaison between these two parties was passive in the beginning, even though the American Indians were plagued with disease and were dying day by day. But as the European colonists became greedy with the land and too aggressive with their beliefs, the liaison between the American Indians and the European colonist went from virtuous to malicious and led to numerous deaths, wars, and appetites for destruction of the others race.
New England was found for colonists to practice religion freely, so why not demonstrate their Christian values with unknown natives from the land that they were someday going to call home. The relationship between the Europeans and the Indians in New England was beautiful in the beginning; you can call it a newlywed marriage if you like. The two parties shared cultural details with each other and etc. The Indians taught colonists how to grow corn and fertilize, while the Europeans brought the salvation of Jesus Christ into the lives of the Indians and also making them, completely more civil. This was a great cause and effect in the beginning, but the relationship fell due the aggressiveness of the of the Europeans. The Europeans wanted to vast there...
