This semester we watched a lot of different versions of Dracula. Movies such as Dracula are my favorite because I personally like watching vampire movies. The first version that we watched wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as good either. It was by Bella Lugosi and was filmed in England. In this version, Dracula was a very old person and always seemed to prey on young Mina. Also, he happens to have this very creepy and scary vibe, you could almost tell that he is a vampire. One example, how he walks; he was crouching while walking. One thing that sent a spark to me was when he said that he doesn’t drink wine. There was times when Dracula acted friendly and kind. Whenever he wanted something, he would put a friendly smile on his face. When he sneaks up on Lucy, he would look into her eyes and looked like he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Also, there was this awkward moment when Dracula does not know what to do, it was the part when Van Helsing’s got a paper cut. Dracula really wanted to suck the blood out, but he looked at the paper cut really creepy and walked away scrappy. This would be a great appearance that a monster would act like.
Another Dracula that we watched was different. There was a lot of miscellaneous things different; some examples would be there was no accent and he was more romantic then the first movie. In this version, Dracula climbs walls and kills people. Also, Langella portrays Dracula. Towards others Dracula’s manners weren’t very kind at first. Later, he learns to respect others including himself.
In my opinion, I think that Dracula should drink blood, but not by killing people, they could ask the people to donate it for them. I imagined Dracula to be old in age, but not the body. They are very creepy, because they can change into a bat and fly away far away without people knowing who he is. Also, I thought that they would be able to walk around daytime and nothing would happen to them. Dracula usually has a lot of wives. They should only...
