Our Understanding of the Assignment
UNAIDS wants it web portal to convey the key message that UNAIDS, is a unique entity in the UN system that delivers its mandates and achieve results with great impact on the AIDS epidemic. Through its various elements, the portal should illustrate UNAIDS as an organization with personality, connected to people, civil society, activists and those who do not have voice to articulate their aspirations. The UNAIDS web portal is also expected to demonstrate and chart the continuum of UNAIDS work for the 2014-2015 and beyond.
The objective of the assignment is to design, develop, and maintain a website that attracts current and potential clients, teaming partners, and employees to work with UNAID.
The consulting firm will assist with the design and implementation of a website using Drupal that meets your business objective to convey your new identity as an organization that strives to solve your problems with a sharp solutions approach that is attuned to UNAID’s best interests. The following presents the guiding principles for the design and implementation.

Visually appealing – The site shall have an attractive mix of text, photos and graphics.
Easily updated – The website shall be implemented using Drupal as the Content Management System (CMS) and the services from AAN Associates and its implementing partners shall include training on updating and maintaining the website.
Common Theme/Consistent Design. All font types, basic layout, and style should be consistently used throughout the site.
Easily upgradeable – The site shall be flexible such that features and page layouts can be added and changed.
Interactive - The website shall be interactive, leveraging various media to engage visitors with compelling design, content and features.
Creative - Creativity is one of our values and it shall come across the site’s design – we would like to differentiate UNAID from other similar firms.
