Reaching Earth's Core

Is it possible for our people to reach the core of our planet to discover its many mysteries? Do we have the technology to be able to reach the core without getting harmed in the process of this mission? And do we have the brave ones that are willing to be the first to explore the depths of our planet? While we have yet to discover what lies in the center of our planet, we are only taking baby steps as the technology we have now is only enough to research on what is in our surface. While this technology is currently being made; there are already made expeditions to the center. A group of people reached the ocean and dove into the deepest part where it was made possible to dig into the ground. However, they have only made it less than a mile; instead they focused on the changes of land and its occurrences of earthquakes. While they were close to getting into the core, other scientists are planning on going into the center. For now, we can only think what is needed or what is to happen to these people while they do their expedition. Here are a few examples:
There are many people out there that have answers to the many mysteries of our lives and our existence in this alien yet familiar planet; and one of those questions also involve our planet and what is it made out of, and now with more technology being developed our scientists can see the contents of our planets and what possible disasters it might trigger. We are in the age where technology is currently being developed to where we can use it to solve complex questions; like the wright brothers and their idea to fly into the sky. It came true but it was only enough to step into the air for a few minutes. Soon many did the same thing and soon we made it farther, to space. Because of this, our scientists are more than eager to make it into the core by creating a machine so complex, though simple to where they can combine their ideas to create such an advanced machine.
