Technology is constantly changing, and it is changing us as well. In the past, some of these changes have been difficult to deal with. In the future, these changes are going to be happening faster, with less time to prepare. Unless, we are well informed of the results, we will make the wrong decisions, and the technology will destroy us.
When computers were originally connected in large networks in the late 70’s, an interesting new form of communication popped up. Email now bears very little resemblance to the “snail mail” that still dominates long distance communication.

Email is just a stream of characters transmitted from one person to another via the computer. A person composes a message with a text editor, and it is stored like any other file the sender can then choose the name and the address of the person who will be getting this message, and this will be sent in just a matter of minutes (Graves, 1990).

CMC provides a higher and effective way of the interaction between people around the world, by using the internet and increase the interpersonal relationships and social interactions. There are several reasons why the internet increases both the amount and quality if the interpersonal communications.
