lll: MAKILALA GEOGRAPICAL LOCATION AND BACKGROUND :
The soon to be open college institution in makilala is geographically located makilala is geographically located at the foot of Mt. Apo along the Davao -Cotabato national highway. It is situated at the southeast portion of cotabato province and serves as gateway to central Mindanao and saranggani province . It shares boundary with bansalan and Magsaysay , Davao del sur in the eastern part and with the municipality of Mlang in the western side. Going north of makilala is kidapawan city and to the south, is the municipality of Tulunan. Makilala is 129km from cotabato City 101 km from davao city ; and 111 km from general Santos city. Makilala is located approximately at the middle of the three key cities of davao, Cotatabato and General santos. Iths territory covers 34,356.53 hectares spread among 38 barangays of 16,027 households. Five of the barangays are considered urbanized while the rest are rural.
Makilala is a first class municipality with an increase trend in its annual income. It’s income projection for 2014 is at P 168,237,975. The internal Revenue Allotment to personal service while general welfare funds are funnelled to general public service and economic services.
IV. RATIONALE:
Education is the knowledge of putting one’s potentials to maximum use. It propels man how to think and how to make decisions. One can safely say that a human being is not in the proper sense until he is educated. Only through its attainment, man is enabled to receive information from the external world; to acquaint himself with history and receive information regarding the present.
