The two main sources of technology that some would believe be the most advanced technological wonders would be the Cell phone and the Medical technology. There is a wide variety of medical advancementssuch as Biomedical engineering in which engineering principles and techniques are used to design and problem solve various amount of issues and greatly improve the way of life and health care. Biomedical engineering is fairly new form of technology which consists of research and development, covering the fields of medical imaging, physiological signal processing, bio mechanics, bio materials, bio engineering, and bioinformatics. (Bronzino, 2000) The field of prosthesis has seen tremendous strides in advancement, prostheses is a artificial replacement of missing body part. It’s a is deprided from the biomechronics field , the fusing of mechanical devices with human muscle, skeleton, and nervous system. Prosetics are used to replace parts lost by injury or birth defects. Advanced biosensors which detects singnals frome the persons nervous or muscular systems, Controller devices are used to connect the nerves and muscule to the implants itself, and Actuator devices mimics the actions of a muscle it is replacing. (MD, 2008) One particular advancement that has made itself readily available to country and the world is Genetic engineering. Genetic engineering is the altering of human genes in order to prefect the genes or even changed them entirely. Some people think gene altering is a great new possibility because it may allow us to put a stop to certain diseases and expand our life span greatly.
