A lot of people don't know a whole lot about Egypt. They probably don't really care to either. But America isn't the only country in the world and that fact really matters when you start to talk about economies of the world. Countries affect other countries in politics, customs, religion, and most important, economics. Countries feed off each other and rely on one another to grow and develop. This is what makes the business world go round and when one country fails, it can cause quite the problem. This is why it is important to know the status of major contenders in the world economy.
When people think of Egypt, they probably think of pyramids and sand. But most don't know that the economy is just now bouncing back from major economic reforms. Just a few years ago, Egypt was a low income category country and within those years has worked into the lower middle income category. A few years ago, inflation was soaring, unemployment was increasing, and GDP per capita was not up to par. Today, Egypt is battling back and succeeding by controlling inflation, decreasing unemployment, and increasing GDP per capita so citizens of the country are leading better lives. The economy is good and even better results are expected in the years to come. Even with the world's economy in shambles, Egypt is predicted to continue growing steadily. The economic crisis itself is Egypt's biggest enemy as far as its economy. Other countries have their own economic problems regardless of what the world is doing, but with Egypt focusing on staying on the path of economic success, this crisis is but a bump in the path that they must grit and bear. With enough persistence and hard work, Egypt will once again strive in the world economy.
