Abstract

Everyone that guards us and protects us isn’t always in the police force. Take our Border Patrol Agents, our heroes in disguise that risk their lives on a daily basis. Guarding and surrounding our borders by keeping the non U.S. citizens and terrorists from entering our country. I have had the honor of interviewing three separate individuals Mr. Ross De Lacey, Mr. Mike Flemmin, and Mr. Mark Henry who take the challenge and risk everyday with stride to keep us all safe.

Border Patrol Agent is the top area of interest that my interviewees Mr. Ross De Lacey, Mr. Mike Flemmin, and Mr. Mark Henry are well in tuned with. They are all agents employed by the United States Border Patrol and have had the opportunity to make sure our borders are safe and secured under any circumstances for many, many years. None of them were rookies and have all been doing this for many years. I am glad that I have been blessed to be able to share their experiences and what they sacrifice daily that no one really knows. We all just take advantage of the fact that we are safe.
I will admit that I have had an interest for some time now to gain the knowledge that it takes for the background of what the full duties of a Border Patrol Agent actually entails. I have recently decided to start on my journey to fulfill my childhood dream and began with becoming a full time Criminal Justice Student so that I will be able to have the book experience as to what these individuals really face.
