Abstract
This paper will explain and describe how the medical office’s handles patients when checking in to be seen by a doctor. Descriptions and explanations will be discussed on how the computers are used to check patients in and view charts and medical history on patients. This paper will define topics on electronic check-ins and my experience as a patient in dealing with how charts are made visible to be reviewed and changed.

FlexCharts was developed by a company named Forerun, Incorporated. FlexChart is an electronic charting software program promoted to the emergency departments and was developed in order to give nurses and doctors improvement with reviewing charts with variable programs and charts to choose from. With Electronic check-in, it has made it an easier task for many health care facilities in addition to the many health care categories. Electronic charting has been investigated for many years in the medical field. The main emphasis to use FlexCharts was in the emergency departments in the hospitals. FlexChart was developed to enhance features of different types of documents in addition to gaining access to patient’s information and updating patient’s charts that can be used for the medical field, Health and Beauty Close-Up. (May 30, 2013). Every medical office now uses electronic check-ins to register patients. FlexCharts has excelled in hospitals.
