Title: Eleven hours Author: Paullina Simons Genre: novel Eleven hours written by Paullina Simons is a story about a women named Didi Woods whom is 9 months pregnant, she goes to do some last minute shopping before the baby is born, when exiting the mall she is abducted by a man named Lyle Luff. Her nightmare begins. Didi goes through hell with this man he begins instantly to abuse her and hurt her. Lyle drives across the Texas plains with a plan in his head that he doesn’t let Didi know of. Didi, who is heavily pregnant fears for her life, mean while her husband contacts the FBI and becomes close with an agent called Scott. Rich, Didi’s husband, franticly looks for her and seems at times that everything is over. I think the whole main message of this story is revenge and jealousy, I think this because Lyle Luff’s wife died giving birth to their baby, and he wants to get revenge on Didi because she has a healthy baby about to be born. He is jealous of her. Lyle was not going to be stopped. He killed a policeman that pulled him over and also killed a shop owner. Didi tried to escape many times however was out of luck due to her huge pregnant belly. Lyle decided that he wanted her baby because Lyle’s wife died giving birth to his child. The baby did not survive either. Lyle was a determined man. He made Didi bleed everywhere and wouldn’t listen to what she had to say. I felt very happy when Lyle Luff was killed by Didi because it proves that getting revenge on the actions of your own life is not the way to go.Lyle is an evil and disturbed man and frightened me. I admired the character Didi because despite the horrific ordeal she was going through she remained calm and focused. Her love for her unborn child and husband kept her going. She is a very strong person. I really enjoyed this book because it never got boring and always made you want to read more. I would recommend this book as it is full of suspense and makes you want to keep reading, I am going to...
