There is still a HOPE
Our country is now facing very alarming problems. To mention the following are the deterioration of culture, poverty, the increasing number of unemployment, over population and graft and corruption. Let me pose this question; Is there still a HOPE for our country?
As for my own opinion there are five things that I would like to point out that we can do to help solve the problems in our country. 1) Strengthening of the family which includes the deepening the family spiritual life, having a healthy relationship of the parents and the children and providing quality time for the family members. 2) Education which is accessible to all especially the underprivileged, intensify the value formation especially on the emphasis of discipline and strive to seek for excellence in the students’ performance and with character building. 3) Productivity in work wherein individuals should be given the chance to develop one’s talents and skills in order to help others, inculcation of the value of integrity and honesty in the workplace and eradicate the sense of dependency instead self-reliance and self-worth. 4) Encouragement of Marriage which giving emphasis on the proper preparation in marriage, responsible parenthood and family planning especially on birth spacing through natural family planning with a sense of abstinence and self-discipline. And lastly 5) Unified vision for working towards a common good as a nation by considering the principle of the right of ownership, universal distribution of wealth and active solidarity and harmony..
The culture of the Filipino people is the mixture of the different culture of all the foreign countries that colonizes the Philippines. So if we try to look at the larger picture we eventually obliterate our original culture. So by now I think it’s about time to re-examine our culture including our customs and...
