The business process that I will describe that which I am most familiar with will be the Army. . The Army is a very difficult business process to explain compared to the civilian world. First I will try and explain how information systems support the business process in several ways in civilian world. From there I will explain how it is seen in the Army way. The thing to understand is that in today businesses your need to have information systems to survive in today’s internet worked global environment is very huge. Information systems have happened to become a major fundamental area of a business. A majority of these systems are more useful for business professionals, specialized personnel and managers. A big thing to understand is that information systems handle a big responsibility for a business which helps in saving time, money, and employees. This will greatly improve any company whether it is small or big business. Information systems also use the resources of people, hardware, software, data, and networks in order to perform several tasks. The tasks that are performed are to perform input, to process, execute output, and act as storage. There also happens to be information systems resources and products, including instructions for people, programs, and procedures that should be followed. All these resources can create several forms of information using these tools, such as paper reports, visual displays, multimedia documents, electronic messages, audio responses, and graphic images. The business process of the United States Army in regards to Information Systems is all about a “Generating Force that better supports the agile and versatile Operating Force to produce Readiness at Best Value” (Addendum I - Transforming Business Practices, 2012).
