“Anticipation is often greater then realization”
It goes without saying that all people expect something. Everybody has dreams and wishes. However, our anticipation is usually greater then the product of our wishes. That is why one agrees with the following observation:” Anticipation is often greater then realization.”
It is my second semester at Tennessee Technological University. I am from Russia and I came here to study and play tennis for the university. When I first came to Cookeville I really loved it here. I met new friends, I was learning English, so it was really interesting for me. Everything was good before I met my tennis team and my coach then. They were not friendly, unsociable, and they were very severe on me. There was a rule in the team saying that freshman's have to do all the stuff sophomores, juniors, or seniors ask. So I had to take baskets, had pick up all the balls, and had to take water for everybody. I was not expecting that, it seemed like a punishment. Also, we had to run at 6 am two times a week; one day I was late, and was fired from the team.
My good friend recommended me Nicholls state university which is located in Louisiana state. I talked to the Nicholls tennis coach, and he took me; the only thing he needed were my transcripts from TTU. I came back to Russia waiting for my new scholarship. I was really excited that I would change the university, and couldn't even think about something bad. Nevertheless, three days before my flight I received the email from Nicholls admissions saying that I can not come because two of my classes didn't count, so instead of 16 hours, I had only 10. I felt like my life finished, and God did not exist. So, I had to talk to the TTU coach, explain him the situation and pray he would take me back. He took me back, so now I am here.
I may say that I absolutely agree with the proverb “ Anticipation is often greater than realization.” Our life is like a quote from the Forest Gump film “......
