•Complete a mind map of some of the current social and environmental issues
•Try to produce well presented work.
•Research the issue you find the most interesting to produce simple power point slides.
Level B - A Most students will:
•Complete a mind map of most of the current social and environmental issues
•Work independently when doing their research and will include all the relevant
information from the task sheet.
Level A* - Some students will:
•Work independently when doing their research and produce detailed and descriptive
power point slides.

TASK
Produce a power point presentation and a fact sheet
on one of the issues raised in class.
This must include:
– Name of issue
– Description of what this issue means
– What affect it has on the environment and on people locally,
nationally and worldwide
– What can we do to support or stop it
– Any other relevant information
This must be in your own words and not
cut and pasted from the Internet.

Stretch and challenge
Make sure your fact sheet has all the info
on it and your power point has key facts
that you can discuss with the class.

three facts that you have learnt today
about your issue.
• Tell the rest of the class one of your
facts
