Large, unusual cracks are being sighted across the country, along with extremely rapid reduction of ice shelfs and . Earlier this year a 160 square mile chunk of ice dissapeared in and Antarctic Ice Shelf. Prime Minister Stephen announced that new exploration will be made in search of oil and mineral deposits. This is in response to the decimating ecosystems, drifting ice shelves and warmer temperatures. I feel this article well presents the extremely important subject of Global Warming. The article contains little, if any, personal opinion or views. These simple statistics alone are used to clearly present and demonstrate the increasing threat of Global Warming. The point is addressed by these three main events, but then supported by different examples of the phenominon around the globe, along with Prime Minister Stephen Harpers position and response to Global Warming. I feel the the issue of Global Warming is and increasing threat that requires action in order for the human race to continue survival. I believe that the effects of Global Warming and Global Warming itself are a result of recent life patterns of humans. By our indulgense of our resources and our manipulation of natural materials, we as a species have managed to turn the earth over on itself and destroy both our ozone layer and temperature balance of the earth. For any changes of this magnitude to happen within 100 years is absolutely unheard of, let alone natural changes. This article is somewhat balanced. It does not say whether one opinion or idea is right or wrong, but it doesn’t address alternatice causes for this global increase in temperature. By failing to include that there are alternative causes, as well as failing to provide reasoning as to their illagitimassy, it assumes or suggests to the reader that these changes are human induced, making it a biased or...
