Nelson Mandella and the Apartheid
Nelson Mandella was born in 1918, to father who was a Tembu chief and surprised to the people he did not want to follow in his father’s footsteps. Mr. Mandella decided to follow his own dream, which was to become a lawyer. The Apartheid, which can be thought of as “separateness” in the language of the Afrikaans, which were settlers from Dutch. During the 1950’s the apartheid wanted to separate political, cultural, and social spaces for colored, whites, and Indians. The South Africa people lived trying times of the apartheid, the compassion of Nelson Mandella for their country, which shared some views from early modern ethical theory philosophers.
Nelson Mandella was a person that wanted what was best for his country, which will include his family. Nelson Mandells decided to leave South Africa but when he returned he was arrested for illegally leaving the country. Prior to leaving Nelson Mandella put together a plan for a massive strike against the apartheid, which in my view needed to be done because the apartheid holding all the power and not letting the people South Africa to have a voice. Nelson Mandella was a person that believed in his country and the people that lived in it and wanted people to have a say, unlike the apartheid. In my opinion Nelson Mandella was justified in the violence against the apartheid because he wanted what was best for the country and people, which is what the people wanted.
In the 1950’s the apartheid formalized their policies, which dated back when the settlers of Europe colonized South Africa. The elected officials wanted to make changes that would best benefits them and not the rest that lived there.
