Life May Not Be As You Wish After High School
People always have some wishes for the future. Some of them try to plan their futures, some don’t, and there are some people try to plan their future, but the life takes them to another future. For instance, I had some ideas for the future, when I was in high school, but my life has had three phases after high school.
In Turkey, there is an examination for students, who want to go to university after high school. So that, students make a choice between sections in high school, because the scoring is made according to their sections. Because of that reason, my parents asked me to be an engineer, and sent me to a science high school. Although, I was not a hardworking student, I passed the examination, and went to Systems Engineering in Yeditepe University. The courses were very hard for a student like me, who do not like to study too much, and so I was not able to pass lots of the classes. Although it had been 4 years, I had not passed the classes, so I decided to enroll in online university, and work in the restaurant-clubs, at the same time.
It has been always my dream to have a restaurant-club for years, so I left the university to work in restaurant-clubs to learn everything about managing, for the future. Therefore, in 2005, I started working in my first nightclub, and also enrolled in online university. As I like my job very much, I could not study for the exams and I did not take some of the exams. After a while, I started working with a managing group in another restaurant-club. After the winter season, a beach club was opened under our management in the summer of 2006. At the end of the summer, I decided to set up an organization company, and I had worked in a nightclub and in my company for three years, but the income of the company was not good so I closed the company. After a time, I left the nightclub and the online university, and decided to go to US to complete my education.
