Business ethics is the behavior on how a business interacts with the world, at large, or the communications with a single customer. The ethics of a particular business can vary. Business ethics examine the principles and problems that may occur in a business environment. Many businesses are created to make money, but a successful business have practice ethical behavior. Ethical behavior is very important to a business reputation. If a business is successful in conducting themselves, then the business will be successful in profits.

Business ethics illustrates created guidelines according to the type of business. Many companies have internal policies pertaining to the ethical conduct of employees. These ethical conduct policies specify the behavioral requirement of the company’s employees, a detailed statement written and placed as an introduction page in the employee handbook. The company identifies expectations of employees in the handbook. The ethical policy suggests ways on managing and avoiding ethical problems that may surface in the path of conducting business. Companies oblige new hire orientations to discuss the company’s policies and legal requirements. The business ethic statement is a required reading with a form stating the new hire has read and will comply to the policy during the duration of employment with the company. The new hire signs and dates the form, then by a witnessed human resource representative and placed in the new hired employee records.
