Abstract
There are limits to what people can do. There are limits to what people can say. There are limitations of every kind with respect to society. There are moral limitations that help govern people called laws. More that than, people have moral limitations that help them dictate their lives daily. Police officers live by the honor of the badge. With that being said there are limitations to what police officers can do while on the job and while they are off the clock. Police officers set limitations with their daily conduct so they do not create a bad witness for the department. There are also limits they are bound to by law and it is important that those boundaries are not stretched or blurred.

Police officers are tested every day. They are pushed to their limits on many occasions, and they have to determine what they are willing to do and how far they we willing to go to ensure their safety and public image. Ethic training is very important for police officers because it will help shape them into what is expected of them by their department and the community. Police professionals use ethics training to help them understand where moral dilemmas exist; how to identify the options they have to address a particular issue; and how to take prompt action when they make the ethical decision (Gleason, n.d.). This is important for moral issues and official matters regarding the job.
Police officers give chase to fugitives on a daily basis. Some of those people are worse than others. Some fugitives make it a point to go down fighting and some with incident. Police officers are professionals and because of that they cannot use the excuse of limited resources when conducting official police business.
