Eulogy on the life of ……….. James Stanley Beckford.

WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS, ALL OUR SINS AND GRIEVE TO BEAR.. WHAT A REVILIDGE TO CARRY, EVERYTHING TO GOD IN rayer.

The lord giveth and the lord taketh.

Mindful of these, the great saviour call the deceased, James Stanley Beckford, known to many as Journey, Baba, Cletus, Swing, Drought…just to name a few of his social names
. He was born on May 23, 1927 to James Stanley Beckford, Senior and Eugenia Millena in a small fishing village called Old era. He was the fifth of six children who redeceased him, except for earl who reside in England.

The deceased is the father of Cordinal, auline, Ida, Sharon, Delroy and James Beckford, Junior but a father to many.

No one would be able to understand and to be acquianted with death. So on Monday, November 3, the deceased was called home after a short illness. The worst days of his life according to him was when he was sto ed from drinking rum. He would say in his low voice… a true docta nuh have no bar . His commonlaw wife Olive for 41 years mothered two of his children now finds it hard to understand why is friend has de arted. Oh death where is thy sting, Oh grave where is thy victory. At 81 years old gone last may, he de arted this earth.

Journey claim himself to be the best in dominoes. He is known to hate double six and usually kees ida away from him when he is hiding double six between his fingers.

He is a eaceful man. However, when he is uset, He would say ….. IF U CHUCK ON ME U CHUCK UNDER THE EARTH….. HEY BOY DAYNEL…. U KNOW SAY U ALIVE OVERTIME… THESE EXRESSIONS WERE JUST FOR LAUGHTER… BUT MOST OF ALL …. HE IS SAID TO BE WICKED THAN DEATH.

The deceased is indeed a true African, Six children, 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 5 ste sons and a host of other relatives.

Journey understand that there is a time and lace for everything. Since his short illness, believe it or not, he stated re eatedly that he is no longer wicket...
