Online Classes vs. Traditional Classes
Many people prefer to take online classes, while others dispute that taking traditional classes are better. Taking traditional classes is truly better because it offers face to face interaction with the professor, direct assistance and social interaction between fellow students.
While both online classes and traditional classes cover the same learning material, traditional classes provide face to face interactions, while online classes interact solely through internet technology. Since a traditional class meets at a certain time and location, this allows the student to have access to the professor throughout the course. This interaction can elevate the students learning experience. With traditional classes professors are able to provide the lecture face to face while observing their students body gestures and facial expressions. By taking an online class students are required to read and learn the material on their own. Many students are not self-starters; they rely on the professor to provide that direction and motivation to stay disciplined in the class. Students who enroll in a traditional class get more one on one time with the professor depending on the class size.
Traditional classes provide direct assistance to the students, but if student is taking an online class they might have to wait 24-48 hours for a response. When you have to wait for a response from your professor it can become very frustrating. Having a delayed response from the professor can cause a setback in the completion and understanding of your assignments. During a traditional class you are able to receive an instant explanation or feedback from your professor very easily.
