We want to welcome you and emphasize this is your 1st quarter and you will be in this course, DB-R8921, the Residency in Atlanta, DB9901, and DB8004 course. Take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the immersion and initial experience.
Please be sure to the play the course Welcome Video, and specific instructional videos presented in each unit, 1 through 6.
As your 9901 coach and Residency 1 Courseroom faculty we are here to support your initial success and make certain your 1st set of steps are going forward in the right direction. The overall focus of the 1st on-site Residency in Atlanta is to establish an initial researchable business problem/opportunity that will be your entry point for your doctoral dissertation.
Do not become overly concerned on day 1 – week 1 on what is a researchable business problem/opportunity – you will get there, and the content of the DB8921 course in concert with the Atlanta Track 1 Residency will provide the necessary 1st set of experiences to support this requirement – we are here to support you in this work.

Please use the first week to review the course details in the Syllabus. At the end of the quarter, final grades are assigned for DB8921, as either Registered (R) meaning successful completion. Learners who do not participate in the discussion posts or submit 4a1, u5a1 draft 1 and u6a1 draft 2, will receive a Not Satisfactory (NS) grade for the course.
