The topic would benefit the students as well as the teachers. Using computers will help the environment immensely. We should be making laptops the new future of schooling.

The first point of using laptops at school is that they will help the environment immensely. During this global warming era, we cannot afford to be wasting and using an extreme amount of paper. If we were to use laptops, there would be no wasted paper as you could save all your work onto a USB or the computer hard drive. This would mean that there would be no need for teachers to take their time and hand out worksheets that students just throw away and waste the paper. Using this much paper involves cutting down the world's oxygen source, trees. With all the ways we try and save the environment, using laptops in school would be a simpler and easier way for everyone. This leads on to the group’s second point, using laptops in school would make a significant change for the better, and this includes for the students as well. Laptops would make school life a lot easier for students in the 21st century as well as teaching them new skills about the technology around today. Having laptops would mean that school students would not spend the time they do writing out and copying notes that hardly get read anyway. That is the one thing that school kids dislike at school, copying down notes. If we were to each have a laptop the teacher could simply send us the work for us to read or print out. Using laptops would also benefit teachers. School teachers would not have to worry about booking computers, writing notes on the board, photocopying work and trying to get the children to quickly write down the notes. Teachers could easily email the work to the students, so it is there for the lesson. Teachers would not have to book computers as if the internet was needed the students could use the laptop that would be right in front of them.
