Ethics and rituals play a major role in the sustaining of Christianity. Christian ethics are the principles derived from the Christian faith by which they act. Most Christian ethics tend to express the need for love, grace, mercy and forgiveness because of sin. The main function of ethics is to provide standards for Christians by which they must conduct themselves in everyday life. They affect what is deemed virtuous and sinful which is mainly taught through The Bible. To consume illegal substances (drugs) as an example.
