Fast Food Restaurants, Are They Changing?


McDonalds is one of the largest and best-known fast food restaurants in the free world. Over the last thirty years, Mc Donald’s has had the satisfaction of being known as a leader in the fast food industry. Although there are numerous fast food restaurants around the world, Mc Donald’s restaurant is famous for its burgers, fries, and service with a smile, but a new restaurant is making a name for itself, and their trade name is Shoney’s.
When comparing Shoney and Mc Donald, you would be surprised to know that these restaurants are the same in numerous ways, but are different at the same time. Shoney gives one a feeling of being in an upscale restaurant that has a family setting, with pictures on the wall, low playing music in the background; whereas in McDonald restaurant, there are golden arches painted on the wall for art, along with picture of a clown and no music playing in the restaurant.
Nevertheless Shoney restaurant are becoming more popular within the restaurant industry, and providing the same service with a smile, along with having bigger, juicer burgers, then Mc Donald restaurants. Shoney’s restaurants provide a service with a smile, and offer a more family atmosphere that is quiet and quaint, and provides seating for the whole family. You have a choice of sitting in a booth that will accommodate eight people, or they will slide tables together if you prefer to accommodate the family. On the other hand Mc Donald restaurants, have seats that are two people type seating; their chairs are hard plastic, small and uncomfortable, and there tables are unmovable.
Even though both Mc Donald restaurants and Shoney restaurants serve fast food, to the same clientele, they are totally different from each other in décor, and service.
