Get Hard Review

Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart star in the comedy Get Hard. Which is about millionaire James King (Will Ferrell) who is accused of fraud and convicted to be sent to maximum security San Quentin prison. He has thirty days to get his affairs in order so he turns to his car washer Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart) to help him try and survive life in prison. Both James and Darnell are in for a surprise during their journey to make James get hard.
Even though this movie costars comedians Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart I feel as though this is a little bit more up Will Ferrell’s alley. If you have ever seen a Will Ferrell movie then you know a lot of his movies are over the top, raunchy, borderline insulting and sometimes downright corny ; but that what we have come to love about Will. Even though Kevin Hart had the same great comedic timing superstar that he always has. This movie seemed like it was a just a little bit below what Kevin normally puts out. That being said these two do really well with each other especially when they get to improve with together.
Etan Cohen had the potential to have a great movie seeing that you have two comedian superstars in Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell playing in Get Hard. Seeing as this is Etan Cohen first time directing a movie I can see why this movie didn’t blow up like it could have. Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart is what really holds this movie together. Ethan’s resume is not that long it basically consist of co writing Tropic Thunder and Men in Black 3 and co producing tv shows like Timon and Pumba, and American dad. Tropic Thunder and Get Hard practically falls into the same kind of comedy that is raunchy and offensive to some people that watch it. Especially in Get Hard where the use a lot of stereotypes and reference rape throughout the whole movie. The movie also has a homophobia feel to it as well.
The movie had an ok story line to it nothing super deep leaving you wanting more but just enough to keep you...
