In this discussion, you will need to log on to the TDAU thinkorswim platform one more time. Once logged on, review the status of your portfolio and respond to the following:
Compute and tell the class your final rate of return on your stock portfolio using the start date of the project and (as the end date) the date of your initial post to this discussion. Be sure to include an “as of” date.
Consider what you have learned in this course and tell the class which stocks you would purchase again and which ones you would not. Explain why.
Tell the class why you believe your stock prices have changed while considering current financial news and information available. Would you want to have bonds or mutual funds in your investment portfolio? Why or why not?
Address the quality of the stock and the company, risk, return, and diversification.

Initially I purchased shares in The Walt Disney Company, GNC Holdings, Inc., and Iradimed Corporation.  Three very different companies given the product line and services provided. 
As of October 13, 2016 the portfolio's rate of return is 19.61%
I kept my initial purchases for the first few days to become acclimated to the think or swim platform and on September 13th the worldwide market dipped effecting my stock across the board.  At that point I researched some worldwide companies to invest in and chose Banco Bradesco SA (BBD NYSE) the largest Brazilian banking network, Chemical Financial Corporation (CHFC NASDAQ) a smaller Michigan-based bank, and Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (CLF NYSE) a Cleveland, Ohio, a mining and iron ore company.  These decisions were based on researching inexpensive stocks with expected returns.  I reviewed various sources and then dove in on my own.  I am enjoying this experience as it affords me the opportunity to experiment in a way I would never with my own funds.  I later purchased General Electric (GE NYSE) as it is a well-known company that is diversified in its business holdings.   I...
