Sales Speech: Five Guys Burgers & Fries

Question: Is it better to have less of something or more of something? [presents 1st slide] Obviously, we want more, but what do we want more of? Well, one thing we want more of is food. I’m tempted by food on a daily basis, [presents 2nd slide] but my weakness is a big, juicy burger with a side of delicious fries!

Quote#1: In his book, Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal, author Eric Schlosser notes that “On any given day in the United States about one-quarter of the adult population visits a fast food restaurant.” Now, as college students, I’m sure we make up a large portion of those fast food consumers, especially those that offer burgers, but we can’t settle for just any burger. No, we want the right burger. What we want, whether we know it or not, is Five Guys. [presents 3rd slide]
Statement of Expertise:
While here in California, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing a wide array of new and different foods, but out of all the burger joints I’ve ever tried, Five Guys Burgers & Fries has left the most profound effect on my taste buds. Quote#2: According to Laurent Belsie’s August 2012 article of the Christian Science Monitor, “Five Guys, the metro Washington, D.C., start-up that has expanded to more than 600 locations in 40 states and Canada, is America's No. 1 fast-food burger, according to the Zagat survey.” So it seems my taste buds are justified.
