My neighborhood is drowning. Abandon homes that people have torn up, and just left, and broken out windows.
My neighborhood was once a beautiful place to come to, with a warm environment,However, neighbors start moving out of the city into the country and sold their homes to agency that rent the homes out through a section eight for low income families. Therefore families moved in with no care in the world about these property. Those families stay a year or two and the homes was so demolished that, once the families moved out. The rental agency just boarded up the homes instead of fixing up the home for the next occupants. When you start to seeing a lot of homes that has been boarded up in your neighborhood,it's begins to become a crime infested neighborhood. I ask myself what can i do. I can't sell my home now. The property value has decreased because of the abandon homes that has no occupants. So my next step in to write to my congressman for them to fix up those abandon homes and put occupants in the homes that care about their homes and their neighborhood. people should value a place where they have to come to and lay there heads. when you start seeing old abandon buildings in neighborhoods. You better believe crime isn't far behind or already there. You have to start seeing people you never seen a day in your life at the abandon homes in your neighborhood, on the corners. you start seeing a lot of drug user coming out of the windows and sometimes the doors of these abandon homes. The lawns that was once so green and beautiful is so full of a lot of weed and branches with a lot of beer bottles, cigarettes paper. Where have my neighborhood gone to.
