Forever Is a Long Time.

Woodrow Wilson said “Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together” and its true without friends life would be lonely, you wouldn’t be able to share your thoughts with someone or have someone to tell your secrets too. Throughout life you will get to be aquintances with some people and other you will become very good friends with. It was the first day of kindergarten at Western Christian School. It happened at the first recess, you know what I’m talking about, the one where nobody really talks because nobody knows each other yet and you are only in kindergarten so when your teacher tries to get you to talk to someone you get scared and go crawl under a table, yeah that recess. “Okay class today we are going to partner up and do a coloring page” says Mrs. Smith as she walks up to Nick Church, the small brown eyed kid who is just like every other kindergarten, excited to color, “Nick you will be sitting with Ms. Alex and sharing crayons” Mrs. Smith continued “remember class you need to share we only have enough crayons for groups of twos”. Nick walks over and as many kindergarten boys would approach a girl, doesn’t say anything, just sits down. We start coloring still not having said a word to each other when he looks at me and mumbles “Can I borrow the red” I look at him and gave him the red and we both started coloring again. Finally Mrs. Smith comes up and asks how we are doing and we look up and in unison say “good” than look at each other and start giggling like kindergarteners do. Mrs. Smith says “Class these are your new seats please get out your lunches and start eating” Nick gets out his lunch box and I pull out my red lunch box. Nick says “That cookie looks really good, I wish my mom packed me a cookie”, and I looked at him and said “Would you like some”? After that our friendship grew and we became the best of friends.
