Friar Tucker International (FTI) is a hospitality chain services that 35 entertainments and cuisine establishments that includes 15 establishments, 10 sports entertainment establishments, 8 family entertainment establishments, and agreements with two hotel chains. Currently the company employs 1200 employees with successful revenue of $300 million (UOP, 2004). The company CEO named Ricardo Benilli partnered with several hotels establishments and able to execute multiple projects very well. The result of diversification of projects becomes more successful which Ricardo needs to be making better decision in identifying what proposals the company has to accept. As a result, Ricardo formed new committee called Project Selection Committee (PSC) their job is to identify the type of project the company should consider. Ricardo assigned the project selection committee to consider the three main projects that aligned the company’s strategic objectives and meet the company’s business goal. The PSC hand picked the following projects are Kalimpong, Braithewaite Greens, and Galleria. After testing the three projects the committee decided to go along with Galleria because their project have been proven that they are the best-fit and have strategic objectives to complete the project on time.
Friar Tucker’s Strategy
FTI main focus is to be one of the top ten hospitality service providers in the family entertainment business, which based on high standard of service and innovation.
