When it comes to gay marriages I have heard many different debates about why it is morally wrong and I have heard debates about why it is right. The most common reason I hear people debate that gay marriage is wrong because it goes against every religion. The biggest question that I have is should we be able to determine whom someone marries or if they can get married at all. Throughout my discussion, I will be giving my opinion on each of the views that I have discovered. What are the pros and cons of same sex marriages, should religion play a role, should gay marriage be legal, is it unethical to ban marriages, and what can be done to solve this debate that has so many people outraged.
Everyone has a long list of why they disagree or agree with gay marriage. I believe that there are many different opinions when it comes to the pros and cons of gay marriage. Through all of my research, these are the top reasons that I have found for people that are for gay marriage. The main pro is that you are giving people the choice to marry whom they want. Everyone should get his or her own choice. Another important argument is that people’s civil rights are being violated by not allowing them to marry because marriage is a legal civil status. Denying same sex marriage is discrimination to the completely gay community. Many people are agreeing that if more couples that are homosexual were able to adopt together adoptions would increase. I personally think that is a great thing. Many gay couples leave the United States to adopt children because they are allowed to which leaves more children in the United States without families. I believe that the most important pro of all is marriage is about love. It has always been about love. It should not matter if you are gay or straight I believe that people should be able to marry...
