The Three General Orders

The army has three general orders that must be followed at all times while serving in the army. The first general order is I will guard everything within the limits of my post and quit my post only when properly relieved. That order means when a soldier is on duty he/she is to be present and attentive to there designated post. The first order also means that the soldier is accountable for that post. The first order is very important because if anything comes up missing or damaged and that soldier left the designated post without being properly relieved he/she will be held responsible. The second general order is I will obey my special orders and perform all my duties in a military manner. This order means that every soldier must abide by the military standard and regulations. The army is very professional and this general order helps us carry our self in such mannar so that we will maintain our professionalism.

The third general order states I will report violations of my special orders, emergencies, and anything not covered in my instructions to the commander of the relief. This means that its the soldiers obligation to report any problems, violations and anything that could interfere with the soldiers duties and responsibilites. It is mandatory for the soldier to report any issues to the command so adjustments can be made properly and accordingly. This order is important because if something happened and a soldier didnt report it to his/her command and then problem somehow brings its self up later in the future it may cause extreme problems for the soldier and other people as well
