Issue and Opportunity Identification
One of the first things that led to this problem in the last years the company has recorded low returns from investments. This led to them wanting to push the product out as soon as possible. In the past they introduce the original iMac at the same time that other companies had just introduce computers that got on the net at the same speed as the original iMac. Now this will not be too smart because why are you going to change your computer for one that does the same as yours. Here you see the communication was not were it was supposed to be. Apple Inc market expands from the United States to Europe and Canada so it has a big market to cover and when you do something wrong in a big market it hits you very hard. Apple Inc developers team did not test enough for security on their vision program, which they had sign a contract with AT&T for the next five years. Apple computer did not test the product correctly and now could experience a decline on phone sales do to a flaw that lets hackers take over their latest vision the IPHONE. The communication problem that they experience is that there was not enough communication between the developers and the people that were pushing the phone out to take their time and test this phone right. The other problem that this brought is that it was going to be sold in a competitor market. Now even though Apple made these mistakes luck and people that will buy anything turn there mistakes into opportunities which help them. But even when at the beginning of the year they are looking good, by the middle of the year the lack of communication had shares drop 7%. Another computer company that is facing something similar is Gateway Inc, in the last three years it has reported a negative operating profit margin.
