Global Crossing is a telecommunication company that was founded by Gary Winnick he was an associate of Michael Milken in 1997. The company provides worldwide networking services. Some people believe the bankruptcy came about because of Gary Winnick, others believe it was because of the leadership team organization but overall it was greed.
Function of management
There are three functions in management organizing, leading and
controlling that take place in every company. Global Crossing falls under
differentiation because it is an organization which has many different team
members working on tasks using universal skills and work methods to get
the jobs compete for the company. Global Crossing has Board of Directors
running the company which is a management team. Global Crossing is a
fortune 500 company that delivers services to over 690 cites and six
continents around the world. Global crossing offers audio to video,
telephone and more. The Board of Directors is responsible to come up with
goals for the company to achieve to be successful for the management team
as well as for the associates.
