Great Britain is an island with a population of 60 million people and an aria of 244 101 km2.Great Britain is split into four different parts: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Its central city is London and the Prime minister is Tony Blair. The languish they use the most is English, but it’s not an official languish. Their biggest religion is the Anglican Church that has more then 27 000 000 people in it.
England that is a part of Great Britain has 84% of the population and 53% of the land. The word England comes from the old English and means Land of the Angles.
Severn that goes through England is the longest river in Great Britain and has an aria of 21000 km2. In the capital of London the river Themes run and it has many bridges crossing it and the most famous is Tower Bridge that took 8 years to build and double busses, Big Ben and the Houses of parliament.
Then we have Scotland that has 8% of the population and an aria of 33%. Their Prime minister is Jack McConnell and their national holiday is Apostle Andreas.
There is only 30% that speak Scottish in Scotland and the rest speak English. The central city is Edinburgh where you can see the famous Stone of Scone and the three Crown Jewels.
Then there is Wales and Northern Ireland which together has an aria of 14% and 8% of the population. Wales is very beautiful but it also has ugly parts with coal mining industry. They have a very strange language and there is a railway station with one of the longest names in the world.
In Northern Ireland they have lots of troubles in Belfast with bombing and shooting. Some people want to belong to England and some to Ireland.
