REFLECTION ON GROUP COMMUNICATION Group projects can be very helpful in understanding and forming ideas and solutions which can also be very fun and engaging. The recent group project done in our class helped me to better conform and understand ideas that I sometimes did not agree upon and sometimes was not sure about the outcome. However after looking at the end results, I realized that when everyone throws in a bit of their mind, it actually comes out to be the best for all. Such experiences can help a person drop and ease into any kind of situation as they would know that their ideas and views are not always correct which is absolutely fine. As the part of assigning roles and different subjects came about, we all automatically linked to a specific subject each one of us felt we were more familiar with. However I would not be able to say that any of us took on any specific role. Everyone provided information as soon they came about it and contributed to the group equally. I agreed on describing the different aspects and influences people and surroundings have on children’s communication, since I felt that I had an advantage in this particular sub topic, after having travelled a lot during my childhood years. After discussing the visual we would like to display in the class and other minor issues we got to a point where we basically could not come up with anymore additions to be done. I realized that at this point we had we were storming without much resolve and decided to adjourn. Through this experience I gained a very insightful look into how group communication works out. Even though in our situation everything seemed to work out just fine without any fuss, I could still see how it would be if some extreme brain storming took place or how everyone could go about figuring out a solution to a hard task.
