Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
1.) I loved the movie ever since it first came out so I thought I'd give the book a try, it actually catched my attention since I already knew what was going to happen and it had more detail then the movie.
2.) The Dursleys, a normal family in England, are left with Harry Potter on their doorsteps. Lily, Aunt Petunia’s sister, married James Potter, and they became a strong couple in the wizard world. Lily and James were mercilessly killed at the hands of Lord Voldemort, who also left a big scar across Harry’s forehead and a legacy as the only wizard to survive after facing Lord Voldemort. Albus Dumbledore, who’s the head wizard of Hogwarts decides to have Harry grow up with the Dursleys until he is ready to attend Hogwarts, the best magic school in England. Harry is taken away to Hogwarts at the age of eleven by the giant gamekeeper, Hagrid, to a world where magic is a reality. Hagrid takes Harry to Diagon Alley to reclaim his inheritance from Gringotts, the wizard bank, and obtain his books, wand and robes from the Leaky Cauldron and Ollivanders. Harry meets Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who become his new close friends. He also meets Draco Malfoy, an evil little devil who has a nasty attitude as they meet. When they arrive at Hogwarts, they meet Snape, McGonagall, Quirrell, Dumbledore, and all the wizards at the Great Dining Hall. During the opening banquet, the Sorting Hat, which is a talking hat that decides which house the children are going to live in. Hermione, Ron, Harry, and Neville are sent to Gryffindor and Draco Malfoy is sent to Slytherin, also known as the evil group out of the rest. Snape runs the household and is known to have schooled Voldemort in the past years. Hermione keeps herself busy with her studies, while Harry keeps interest in his family and powers, and Ron practices in chess. Harry Potter turns into an expert at...
