I arrived at the doorstep and knocked but nobody answered. I can’t even remember where I was and why am I here. I entered the mansion when I realized the door was not locked and it was freezing outside. As I carefully entered the entry hall, I looked around for something that I might remember why I am here.
The mansion was old and dark. It seems to build in the 19th century. I went to the kitchen to look for something that I could use to see in the dark. While I was looking for some candles in the closet, I could hear whispers calling my name from upstairs. I wondered who it was. And how he knows my name. For a second I thought the place was empty. Without knowing anything and unprepared, I went straight to the stairs hoping that there was actually someone inside here with me.
The longer I search for the voices, the more confused I became. Suddenly, I heard music played not far from where I was standing. I came across the ballroom. The chandeliers were so bright, almost everything in the room can be seen. The music had came from the dark corner and I saw a person who was playing it. “Who’s there? Can you tell me where I am?”, I asked him. He started to laugh in a dark way.
“You lad, you should never came in here. This haunted mansion”, he whispered.
“Pardon me?”, I waited. He then doesn’t seem moving. I reached him, thought that he didn’t hear me. “Sir? I just wanted to... Sir?”. He suddenly disappears like a fog. After that, out of nowhere I heard a child running and laughing behind me. I turned away as fast as I could, but no one was there. The sound of the child’s laughter remains there. I heard he ask me, “Can you play with me? Let’s play hide-and-seek.” The child’s voice started to change into a deep, scary voice. “But... Wait! I just want to know where I am”, I shouted. “Shhh... Mommy’s sleeping. Be quiet”.
I rushed to the ballrooms door, searching for that child. “Hey, where are you?”. Then, I caught a glimpse of the child. It was far beyond normal....
