The world we live in today is filled with an astronomical amount of questions that no human being could ever answer all of them, religions like Christianity can make an attempt to answer those questions, but not all of them so it is in our human nature to seek out other religions and perspectives in order to search for the meaning of life. The practice of different faith is in search what spirituality really means (Valea 2015)
Thesis
This paper analyzes the comparison of both Buddhist and Christian belief systems and also addresses dome of the questions regarding the Buddhist and Christian perspectives. It later explains the spiritual healing processes of both belief systems. Furthermore, it describes the dynamics of people who are being cared for by someone, healthcare providers, who believe in a different faith system. Finally this paper illustrates what the author learned in researching the topic and how the author will apply it in their future career of caring for patients.
Prime reality
According to the Buddhist worldview there is a transcendent truth, which is considered to be correct and absolute. Buddhism also known as dharma, which stands for reality and believes that, everything is encapsulated in causal action. They accept that a higher power, God, exists, but they do not believe the He is the source of all happiness or that he represents the basis of morality.
In contrast to Buddhism the Christian prime reality is referred to as the omniscient God who is all-powerful and everything he says is truth. God is incomparable and supreme to all, and everything exists because he made it and everything that happens is because it is his plan. Based on these two different worldviews prime reality is subjective and can be experienced in different ways. (Alin, 2015)
