Why is it important to conserve energy? All of us use energy everyday for different things in our daily activities. We use it for entertainment, cooking, transportation, lighting, heating and cooling homes, manufacturing, etc. We consume a large amount of energy. When energy is produced from nonrenewable fuels to heat our homes or power our cars for example, pollutants are released into the air contaminating the air we breathe and water we drink. The more energy we use or use our vehicles the more energy power plants must produce or gasoline our vehicles burn releasing more pollutants into the air. Conserving energy is important because we will help the environment to provide a better living environment for our children.
There are two types of energy resources renewable and nonrenewable resource energy. Renewable energy sources are self-sustaining sources and are produced by natural resources. Sun, wind, water and geothermal energy have been around since the Earth was formed and are renewable energy sources. Nonrenewable energy sources which once used up can not be replaced. The energy produced by oil, coal, natural gas are all nonrenewable energy sources and once used can not be replaced. Renewable energy sources can self-sustain with natural resources and nonrenewable energy sources has to sustain of natural resources, but can not be replaced.
What ways or methods can we implement to conserve and help the environment? What can we do? What must be changed? What habits must we rearrange? We have an energy problem and there are a lot of changes to be done big and small. Pollution and energy problems are taking over the world. We can conserve energy and help the environment at the same time. By following these three simple methods I am gong to mention we can make a difference. We can help conserve...
