Heroes are special people who do whatever they must to help others. They are like boy scouts, because they are kind, and brave, and courteous and helpful and do things to help others. Heroes can be anyone. They can be teachers and doctors, they can be firemen and policemen, they can be just ordinary people. Most heroes arn't super, like Superman or Spiderman, but they could be if Superman or Spiderman were real. A hero could help you with your homework or rescue your cat. A hero could save a person's life or they could help you if you are hurt. There are many heroes in stories that we read. Like the old style heroes with swords from King Author's time. They had armor and swords and rode horses while heroes today don't ride horses or have swords but guns. And most heroes today are not super or wear armor unless they are in the army or a police man who wears that new bullet-proof vest and things like that. My hero is my dad because he is always there for me and helps me when I need help. My other hero is my brother who is really nice and tries really hard to help his family. He sets a good example for his kids. Some people think that movie stars and sports stars and people in bands and stuff are heroes but they aren't. They could be if they did good things to help people like Troy Aikman who gives money to help people, but most are only interested in theirselves. They do drugs and stuff that isn't heroic and people especially kids shouldn't look up to them and so they aren't heroes.
