Highschool vs College

Education is a must in an individual’s life. People make goals for themselves in order to strive for greatness. One of my many goals was to attend college and do very well so I could become a wonderful teacher. I plan on doing everything I have to do while I’m at Kingsborough Community College. While I’m here at Kingsborough Community College I want to obtain a great GPA so I could transfer to St. Josephs College. I’m very committed to my goals because I have learned that having your education is very important and no one could take it away from you.
A transition from high school to college is always a difficult task for anyone, including myself. College requires a lot more independence then they do high school. I think my greatest transitional challenge is going to be the simple fact that I am going to be on my own, and not being told when assignments are due etc. Meeting this challenge of doing everything on my own is going to be incredibly tough, but at the same time it will be incredibly rewarding. When finding a career most people will expect you to do everything on your own as you would in college. So meeting this challenge would be your most important responsibility.
In my first week of college I have come to learn that there are a lot of assignments due at the same time and most importantly a lot of reading. Therefore managing your time is very important. You need to manage time effectively if you want to be successful. Better time management skills can improve your grades, help you to be stress-free, and help you to be ready for the career you carry out following your college education. Staying on top of your assignments is the main key in college.
