Hinduism Paper Andrea Dee HUM 130 Page 1 Page 2 Also as the text mentioned the Hindus set up a caste system. The Brahmins were the special occupational group (trained). They were priests and philosophers, who were specialists in the life of the spirit. This system is said to have become more of a racist system in which the Brahmans have the lightest skin and the mudhas have the darkest, the darkest one is the lowest in the caste. It has become positive again, but it helped put strain on Hinduism. On a personal note, I think also all the war and hate that goes on today and being today it surrounds them, has made Hinduism to the region. I think also with racism today going so far and beyond with the whole Asian culture and Middle Eastern origin, makes it vital as well. The Hindu faith does not believe in these actions. They are people that purely base their faith on peace and love. I think that this said and the surrounding influence, I think it makes this even more so vital than anything before. Even the Hindus that live here in the U.S. They may have come to a different country but they still follow their traditions and culture. After the crisis in the Middle East, people put that whole area into one general assumption and they are harassed on a daily bases, not even following the Muslim faith (which is another religion based on Love). I Page 3 think with racism and everything that goes on in the world today and the domination, I think it becomes more and more vital to the people that do follow this faith.
