The mystery on gracious road - Caitlin Lankford

“Help me” I heard as I was walking down gracious road. I stopped in my steps breathing heavily. My heart was beating so fast I could scarcely breath. I looked around curiously. As I looked down the street I saw a building that wasn’t there before. Someone was sprinting out of the house screaming following behind was someone with a roll of tape. I could tell she was scared and probably kidnapped. I hid when the man looked over towards me. The girl was running into the woods. I have to follow her so I know that she’s all right but ill get caught and probably be as scared as she is I thought to myself. Slow as a snail I crept out from my hiding spot and headed towards the woods. The girl was standing in the corner covering her mouth.
“what’s wrong” I asked in a small voice.
“that man kidnapped me and my has kept me in that building for a week now” she said quietly so the man couldn’t hear her.
“follow me” I said. She followed me all the way to my house we ran inside and locked the door I gave her the house phone to call her mom and she took it faster than you could say hi. A loud yelling noise came from out side next thing you know the kidnapper was looking through the window for the girl. We dashed upstairs and met my cousin and my sister Anthony and Camille. I pushed my way through and went to my room and shut the door. This is serious I told her I need to find a way to get you back to your house and fast. I looked out my bedroom window and thought real hard. I got it I shouted kind of loud. We could hop over my back fence and run to the train stop and you could get on and go home. “well I do live far away but wouldn’t the man who kidnapped me look there first because he knows I want to go home right away and see my family”. “ oh yeah your very smart in a lot of ways and what is your name”. “my name is Alyssa” she replied. “ahhhhhhhhhh” I heard coming from downstairs “stay here while I go see who it is....
