Being a gay rights activist, I believe that to forgo allowing equal rights to homosexual couples would be not only an infringement upon their rights dictated to them in the united states constitution but also would be encouraging the growth of intolerance in this country. Not only would racial intolerance but religious, life style intolerance, etc. would all be affected by the growth. Furthermore those who don’t agree with me and those who just don’t care should have the right to be able to re-examine the evidence that has been argued for and against homosexual rights, with my own re-evaluation of the evidence I find that there is far more to support it than to fight it. I believe that by ignoring or not caring about the issue is creating a hindrance for its plight. It’s making a cover to put over the issue and should not be “swept under the carpet.” Annotated Bibliography Bennett, William J.. It was not really a biased opinion against gay marriages, but it was opinion based. It lacked evidence, both for and against gay marriage. About ninety-five percent of the essay was illogically placed tid-bits of debatable information.
