The history and the lifestyle of Houston and Nacogdoches contrast in many different ways. One of the many ways they are different is Nacogdoches is older than Houston and Nacogdoches has a country feel to its lifestyle compared to how Houston has more fast pace and up scale life style. For example the mall in Nacogdoches is very small and does not have a good quality of stores in it. This is an opposition to Houston that has plenty of malls with many different stores to choose from. Houston has a very different variety of social venues that you can enjoy and have an exciting time at. While Nacogdoches is known to be retirement town do to its lack of social venues for its younger generation. Houston has many restaurants to choose from while Nacogdoches has few to choose from and in Houston many of restaurants deliver while the only restaurant in Nacogdoches that delivers is pizza joints. Houston has many universities to choose from while Nacogdoches has only one to choose from. Nacogdoches has three grocery stores such as Wal -Mart, Brookshire Brothers, and Kroger’s opposed to Houston whom has as many as five on one road. Houston has many different activities for the family to do such as water parks, the zoo, and aquarium in contrast to Nacogdoches’ lack there of. The list can go on and on about the differences of Nacogdoches and Houston but these were just a few examples to give better insight.
