Poker had affected my life in many different ways. The game has so many ups and downs that it takes a huge toll on your emotions and your health in general. If you cannot control your behavior and cannot control your emotions, poker is not a good game for you. Luckily for me I can take the ups and downs of poker, but the game has affected my lifestyle greatly. Poker has taken its toll on my lifestyle by affecting my social life, changing my views on money, and making me a lazy individual.
My social life has become very bad since playing poker as a fulltime hobby. Most of my time is devoted to learning the game and further bettering my knowledge of how the game plays out. If you want to become the best in poker, you have to put in the time and dedication. This commitment has affected my social life to a great extent. Instead of going out with my friends every weekend I will usually choose poker. The money poker brings in has me so addicted that I would rather stay home instead of partying or hanging out with friends. Sitting at home and not interacting with people has resulted in a huge change in my personality. Poker has made me become a very shy individual when I used to be very outgoing and friendly. Limited interaction with people as a result of poker has affected my social skills and in return affected my personality for the worst.

Poker is all about the money. If you are not making money playing poker, the game is no fun. This year I have made fifty thousand playing poker as an eighteen year old. With no bills to pay and nothing to worry about moneywise, most of this money is all profit and laying around ready to be spent. This has lead to the fact that I just do not care about money anymore. Going out to dinner almost every night and me footing the bill is standard for my family. Buying something new is never an issue for me or my family.
