How the Royal Family and British museums have contributed to the tourism industry?
Nowadays, tourism has become a popular global leisure activity with the development of social progress and the improvement of people’s living standards. Among them, the British are very good at the development and use of the tourism resources and cultural factors to turn England into a country with rich tourism resources. For example, those buildings, streets and sculptures have been given the story and living history to life. This is why tourism is Britain’s fifth most important industry. Meanwhile, the Royal Family and British museums attract tourists’ eye and also become an absolute must-see attraction. Through them, tourists can better understand the British culture. First of all, I will divide my essay into two parts. One is about the Royal Family. It includes the role of the Royal Family and reasons why the Royal Family attract tourists. Another part is introducing British museums and discussing their value.
To begin with, the Royal Family is one of the world’s oldest extant royal family, and every monarch’s coronation ceremonies are strictly adhered to the same tradition exactly, which makes the British royal coronation become the oldest rituals that existing and still holding.
In The Queen’s many state and national duties, the Royal Family members support her power which helping to strength national unity and stability, and performing significant work for charitable organization and public welfare. Members of the Royal Family who assume national duties include The Queen’s children and her spouses, and The Queen’s cousins (the children of King George VI’s brothers) and their spouses.
